1st Day & Magic Kingdom

We decided to take a trip this year to Orlando Fl, well because first our siblings were going to be out of school & they deserved a getaway, & second we are kids at heart lol.
Two places I was super excited about was Magic Kingdom because I hadn't been there since I was 6 & the new Harry Potter section in Universals because well I am a huge Harry Potter fan lol.

So first day we were there we just relaxed & slept in. After waking up & getting ready we headed off to a cactus farm near by that I found on yelp. & it was the most amazing one I had seen, plus there was so many kinds! & we actually took two baby plants home with us.

After there we headed to the City Walk at Universals to pick up our tickets, play some mini golf & eat dinner. It was such a nice day out & we had a ball playing mini golf lol.

Now since 1st day was pretty simple I decided to combine it with the 2nd which was Magic Kingdom Day!!!

One word Nostalgic! You thought I was going to say Magical right lol well I was but after defining nostalgic which is | a sentimental or wishful yearning for the happiness felt in a former place, time, or situation. |
& that is exactly how I felt. The last time I cam was with my parents & the happiness felt then just came rushing back with all the memories. The feels were in full affect lol. Especially when we hopped on the ride "it's a small world" ahhhh the good times.
& at that moment I just thinking about when we have children in the future & bringing them here. I was filled with so much joy & happiness just thinking, looking at my husband & seeing the happiness on our siblings faces.

Such an amazing day!

Paint Night

So for the lonnnggggeeesssttt I have been wanting to go to a fun paint class & I finally convinced my husband to go with me so we booked & finally went!

Let me just tell you it's sooooo much fun! Just interacting with other painters & messing up on your paint but only then to redeem yourself & fix your big mistake with the help of the teachers lol.
My husband & I were laughing almost the entire time & by far one the best dates.
I highly recommend it to any couple or even going with a group of friends. & you might feel intimidated when you see the painting but the place we went taught you little by little & by the end we were so happy with our painting & it was just an amazing date!

After that we just ended the night with some yummy coffee at Gio Cafe in Avalon.

Date Night at The Fox Theather

Here we go again lol, another late post.
But it's okay because it's the holidays and everyone not just me has been busier then ever.

After Thanksgiving week my husband decided to make date night a little different then just the dinner & movie. We went to the Fox Theater in Atlanta for a Christmas performance & showing of the original Miracle on 34th Street.
It was such a fun date & kick off to getting into the Christmas spirit. (even though I was already lol)

Holiday Happenings

So I found out that Atlanta is filled with so many creative individuals & one place you can find a whole lot of them is at the Indie Craft Holiday event which took place last Sunday the 22nd of Nov.
I just discovered this gem this year & I had to make the drive to check it out for myself & boy was it a great event. I mean from apparel to soaps to ornaments, I mean there was a little of everything. Oh & food, wow some of the most tastiest. There was cookie stands, coffee stands, cotton candy stands, gyro stands, ect. My little brother is hard to please when it come to food & all the places we tried left him wanting more. Such a successful event. & as a plus they were giving out free tote bags filled with goodies to the first 250 people, I got two since my little brother didn't care much for one lol. Score.

After there we headed to the tree lighting event at Avalon & let me just say it's always crazy busy there, we came last year for the Grand Opening of this shopping center & a few times after & it's always the same thing lol the search for a parking spot. In the end we just have to stalk people for a spot lol. It was beautiful though, they had the ice ring up and ice skaters preforming, reindeer, & a concert filled with Christmas music. Now we didn't stay for the lighting of the tree because lets face it no one wants to wait an extra 3 hours in the cold to just the see it, unless you are extra bundled up for the weather which I definitely wasn't lol.

Christmas events are always the best.

Tis' the Season

The holidays are around the corner already!
So crazy how fast time passes & that's why more then anything we need to cherish these moments with loved ones and recognize all that we have is because of our Father God. We have so much to be thankful for and we shouldn't wait for the season to roll around but live it out everyday by waking up & just giving thanks to God for He has given us life and all we have.
I truly love this time of year though because everyone just seems extra happy and we get to carry out traditions with our families that we've done for years. One for me is putting up the tree at my parents house; my mom bakes & makes hot chocolate & we put up the tree while watching hallmark. It's just one of those things that I remember doing ever since I was little & till this day I get super excited for. It's the simple things like that mean the most.

I am extra excited this year because my husband & I get to start our own traditions & decorate our very first home together. & trust me the excitement was to real that I started in October haha. Oops.
See my family has a thing that by Thanksgiving they already have their tree up & I don't know when that started but it became something I looked forward to when going to my grandmother's for Thanksgiving. & I know, I know even according to my mom I started wayyyy to early but who can blame me it's my first time decorating a home. Give this girl a break lol.
I have to admit I am loving the outcome of our home so far, it's just so festive & traditional which I that''s what I was going for (traditional/ rustic).  I love modern but traditional just brings me back to my childhood & I have so many amazing childhood Christmas memories that it kinda just came so naturally when I started picking out things for our home.

I can't wait to also be sharing soon some traditions we have & a few holiday treats.
Here I leave you with a few pictures from what we've done so far to our home.
Hope everyone has an amazing season & happy decorating!
