First Family Getaway | Savannah & Hilton Head

I always imagined what our first family getaway would be like & I would question myself if it would be hard or if we would be those parents with a screaming baby in a packed cafe. But thankfully it wasn't to hard & we didn't have any melt downs! It exceeded my expectations & it was the best trip yet!
We decided to keep our first trip small & close by since we were traveling with an infant. So we ended up in Savannah first & spent a night there. We had been here before but we definitely explored more & Jayleen made it so easy for us because she loved being in the stroller. It is a bit harder now with a baby & you cant stay out as late as before but we wouldn't change it for anything. I know right now she can't enjoy much but just looking at her gaze as we go underneath the trees with all the moss hanging from it was just as nice. It makes me so excited for when she is able to enjoy more but I will enjoy her little observations until then. In Savannah we walked the riverfront which is always nice, ate at a cute cafe called Soho South, shopped at city market & had a little down time at Paris Cafe. So simple but perfect.
The next two nights we spend them at Hilton Head which was only a 40min drive from Savannah. We stayed at the cutest beach side resort called "The Beach House" & it was perfect for us because it had 2 restaurants on site so we didn't have to go far to get a bite to eat & the food was great!
We spent our time here just lounging by the pool, going to local shops & eating at local restaurants. One of my husband's fav was a spot called "Island Bagel & Deli" because being from New York he always misses his rolls which is bacon, egg & cheese on a round bread. So simple but he likes it a certain way & this place hit home for him lol.

All around it was a great small getaway with our now family of 3 & I cannot wait to continue traveling & showing our little one all the amazing places in this world that God created!
