Always one of my favorite vacation spots because you literally you don't have to leave your resort for anything! & the hospitality is always amazing!

This time around I came with my mom & brother because my husband was going to Hawaii for his sister's 15th birthday. We decided that it was to long of a flight & to crazy of a time change for Jayleen so we decided not to go. But my mom suggested we take a little family trip so we wouldn't be bored all week without George here & you know I was all for it lol. We booked it only a month before & got an incredible deal! Not only that but since we have been with Expedia for a long time they upgraded our room which was amazing!

The resort is called Ocean Riviera Paradise & although I still like Catalonia better, this resort was the most beautiful one i've seen. The interior & exterior decor was on point & very modern! It had about 5 restaurants & a buffet so there was always options. It also had a coffee shop & ice cream parlor where Jayleen loved going!

The whole time we just spent it at the resort relaxing & eating lol. We were going to go out but the last day Jayleen got a small fever, maybe from the cold pools so we just stayed in. She was all better by when we left back home. Other then that we had a great time, & it was much needed for some relaxing time especially for my mom who is always working, she deserved it more than anyone!

It was such a great time! & I cannot wait for another family trip that's coming up soon!

How did this happen?

A whole year has gone by & our baby girl is one!!

When Jayleen was only days old a lot of people would tell us enjoy her because they grow up so fast & I just smiled & would say yes we definitely will. In my mind there was no way she could just grow up over night & I would say in my head "I have plenty of time to enjoy her". Now looking back it definitely feels that way, like our baby girl just grew up overnight & its bitter sweet. I miss my tiny little girl but I get so excited to watch her grow. So to all the new mommas out there, cherish every moment because it does truly go by fast!

She has been such a light and joy in our life, we cannot picture life without her anymore. She has added a new purpose to our life to not only strive for a better future for her but to lead her to God's purpose for her life. We are so excited to continue this journey with her & witness every stage of her life!

It's funny but with every milestone she would reach I would say "ok, this is my favorite stage". Then I would find myself saying the exact same thing the next day. And the next. And the week after that. I quickly learned that each day is better than the day before when she is around. We love her with all we are and we are so thankful to be her parents! God is so good!

Now onto her fiesta lol.

Her fiesta was actually something that our parents wanted because they said how were we not going to throw her a first birthday. If it was up to us we would have just taken her on a long vacation to somewhere new. But now with it behind, I am glad we gave her one with stress & all lol. Because it was her first & it was just so nice to be surrounded by people who loved her & were there to celebrate her. We are so thankful to everyone who came out & were a part of it.

I have always wanted to have a fiesta themed party for a girl because of the cute dresses & I just love the decor that comes along with it. My mom brought a lot of stuff from Mexico which was so helpful because you can't find a lot of it here. Unless of course you order it but it does cost a little more. But I love how the final result came out & my parents even went the extra mile & hired a mariachi & folk dancers. It was extra but also it is their first grand baby so they went all out lol. It all came out great at the end & everyone had a good time so that's all that mattered.
