Holidays in NYC! | Part3 {last}

Day 6

This was our last full day in New York so we decided to hop back on the Long Island Railroad & go explore the city one last time because Saturday we were going to spend it visiting family.
I really can't get enough of the holidays here, that's why is probably my favorite time to visit! You just feel the holiday spirit everywhere you go! Like literally you smell chestnuts roasting on a open fire lol it's a food truck on the side of the street but hey still counts right?!
If I could recommend a time to visit it would definitely be from after Thanksgiving to Christmas time! But not to close to Christmas either because of the crowds.

On our last day I wanted to keep it pretty simple & just visit some department stores, take a walk in central park & go back to Serendipity ( favorite dessert shop ever).  Just because I am pregnant & I get tired pretty quick but we managed to do all that & a little more. It was a cold day for sure, coldest day spent there but we spent most of our time indoors from place to place & made sure we bundled up when we would head back outside. Overall it was such a great last day spent & I can't wait to return with our little girl!

Holidays in NYC! | Part2

Day 2

The night before we headed to sleep we realized that we had left some joggers I had bought at the restaurant we had ate that night & I was really upset just because I hate wasting money! So the next morning my amazing husband went to check if they were still there since we stayed near times square, but unfortunately they weren't. So he called AE & since we have a great history with them they actually refunded us for them although it wasn't their fault! What a great company!
That was the craziness that morning lol.

We stayed at The Lexington & it was amazing! They gave us a room upgrade & free breakfast because we are Expedia gold members! It's good to be loyal to a company like that because they give you perks and discounts for your stays!
We ate a yummy breakfast & headed off for the day.
The whole day we kept it pretty simple & just stayed in upper Manhattan near times square just because I was still tired & we already had a few bags with us from the day before.
What we did do was go up the Rockefeller to see the views which are always amazing! After we went & ate pizza (a must lol) & then headed of to see the Christmas Spectacular at the Radio Music Hall. By far the greatest show i've ever been to & great for kids! I can't wait to bring our little Jayleen here one day!
We went to a few more stores that were on the way to the train station & then headed home. I was pretty excited for this because it ment we get to rest & sleep in the next morning which I always enjoy especially with baby girl growing bigger by the day lol.

Day 3-5

Our main purpose for coming was to visit family. Since when Jayleen arrives we will not be going back for a while just because she will be little & trips to New York are hectic already so I can only imagine with a little one. So we took advantage that my husband had off to come visit one last time for a while.
My husband has a lot of family so we took the next few days to try to visit the most we could & i'd say we visited almost everyone. I love how happy my husband gets when he gets to see his family because just by that I can tell what a great family man he is!
On day 5 we visited family in the morning for a little & in the afternoon headed to Brooklyn to watch the Islanders (hockey team) play. We also got to try some bagels i've been dying to try which were delicious! Before the game we headed across the Brooklyn bridge to go to a few shops & explore which was nice because we hadn't been to that area before.
I didn't think I would get into the game much because it was a hockey game but was I wrong lol. Those games are intense & we left pretty happy because the Islanders took home the win!
