Our Way To The Chapel

Wow we are officially two months away from our big day & I couldn't be more excited. I have been dreaming of this day since well I think after my quince (sweet 15) lol, but everything seems so perfect it's unreal at times lol. I am truly blessed not only with my husband to be but with everyone that is around me from my amazing parents & in laws to family & friends. Every single one of them have played an important role in my life & I am blessed to have each & every one of them especially on one of the most important days of my life.
& if any of you (you know who you are) are reading this, THANK YOU.
Thank you for being there for me, supporting me, pushing me, caring for me & most important loving me.
I love you.
Now in honor of our two month mark until the day we wed I leave you these pictures, just a little sneak peek into our engagement session.
Our photographer was beyond amazing & she will also be taking our wedding pictures as well.
She is the definition of sweet & easy going.
Great combination if you ask me lol. I will leave her link below & it is definitely worth a look, she does an amazing job!

Long Island, New York | Part 2

The last few days in Long Island were truly unforgettable with a day trip to Montauk to see the lighthouse, visiting the well known Jones Beach to spending the New Year with my soon to be, amazing family! By far one of the greatest trips I have ever taken & without a doubt a place I will visit again! (sooner then later lol)

Montauk Light House
Although it was freezing to the point I couldn't feel my fingers, it was an amazing sight to see.
I cannot wait until we come when it's much warmer out to enjoy it a little more. & yes I admit I took of my jacket just for some pictures but the whole time I was shivering like crazy lol.

Carvel Ice Cream
Oh it was love at first taste lol.
At first being as cold as it was I was not okay when my fiancĂ© decided he wanted ice cream. I was just like seriously in this weather! He insisted that is was the best I will ever taste so I was like okay. But little did I know this soft serve goodness was not cold. Sounds weird right, ice cream that isn't cold! Well it is weird because I was expecting to bite into coldness but was surprised when I didn't. & it hard to explain but if I had to let's see.... it was so soft that it wasn't  cold. Hahaha I have no clue you just have to try it for yourself. But it was delicious & since I have gotten back I seriously crave it everyday lol!

Bay Deli
The next morning we stopped by this deli here & had some amazing sandwiches that my fiancé would always get growing up in Huntington. So I figured something out.... & not even joking the food alone here could get me to stay lol.

  Jones Beach
Last view of a beach we would see on our trip & by far the best!
So this beach is the spot during the summer with many parking lots to fit thousands of cars. & not only for just the beach but for the beachside concerts that they have here every summer. I seriously cannot wait until we visit for the summer to attend one of these.

I missed seeing homes like these where I am from, all decked out in Christmas lights. So I was excited to see this lol.

Handmade cookies from my fiancé's sweet cousin.

The rest of the day we spent it with family bringing in the New Year. The perfect ending & beginning to the year!

Long Island, New York | Part 1

Well what can I say about my favorite part of my New York trip, I mean I love the city but what I love even more are low key, small, & unique spots. & Long Island gave me that & more.
From the multiple beach spots to water front museums, every where my fiancé took me had me falling more & more in love with Long Island.
First stop & where we would be staying at is Huntington. This is where my fiancé grew up at & has had so many amazing memories there. He was so excited to show me around & I was excited to visit all the places he would visit while growing up.

Huntington Beach | Only 1 of the many

Vanderbilt Mansion Museum
Such an amazing spot from the spanish styled home to the amazing waterfront scenery, you can tell that the Vanderbilt house was the spot way way back in the day lol. First thing I told my fiancé was "can you imagine having a carne asadas (cook out) here, I mean this would be the spot!" lol.
Such a beautiful home!

After the museum we got hungry & immediately my fiancé knew the first food spot he wanted to go to lol. Pupusas! It's a traditional Salvadorian dish made of thick, handmade corn tortilla & is usually filled with a blend of cheese, pork meat, & beans. In Georgia we have very few spots where they make these but in New York they are everywhere & by far these were the best I had ever ate!

Centerport Beach

The rest of the day we spent it at the village in Huntington & visiting a lot of my fiancé's family which at first I was nervous about but little by little I started to get less nervous meeting them because they where the sweetest people ever & in a way they reminded me of my family which made me much more comfortable. The whole day was better then I could have ever imagined!

New York City | Part 2

The second day we were sure to take the train & wow what a difference it made lol. Smooth ride there, with no hassle at all.

I must say though once at penn station it smelled rather funny in there & not in a good way lol.
We started our Sunday by waking up super early to attend the 10 o'clock service at Hillsong NYC & let me tell you if you get there mmm maybe 30min before the door opens which is at 9:30am then you have high chances of sitting right up front!
Tip: Take the stairs instead of the elevator because there are only two elevators which everyone is trying to take & it may be hard especially if you are out of shape like me but was it worth it, YES!!
The service was incredible & to sum it up:
"The world cannot label you, only your Father can"
Genesis 35:18
Don't let what other people call you, define you, only your Father has naming rights & he named you His. His plans go beyond yours & what others say.
Amazing word by an amazing Pastor!

After service we headed toward The Rockefeller center but of course stopping here & there to see the amazing architecture & visit shops. It was a beautiful day out, it wasn't too cold & the sky was clear. When walking in the streets of NY I couldn't help but be amazed with the height of all the buildings, and it wasn't so much just the height but how many there were so close together. I have been to Atlanta plenty of times but New York is truly unique from any other city. First, everything is so close together which I love because getting from point A to point B isn't hard especially when there is so much to see along the way. Walking wasn't a problem for me & I actually love the fact that we got to walk because every turn we took there was something new to discover, literally! & second is that no matter how late it gets it always seems safe and not sketchy. I mean staying in the safe areas are a good idea but most of Manhattan is safe so there isn't much to worry about. Anyways once we got to the Rockefeller it was a pretty quick way up to the top, we went around 1pm & the lines were not long at all so that was great. If you do plan to go during sunset make sure to just get your tickets online because those are first to be sold out. We got to the top & wow what an amazing view! Seriously I felt like I was in a movie lol just being up there with that amazing scenery & in the arms of the one I love. Definitely one for the books.

After the Rockefeller it was just exploring from then on. We walked through central park, visited a whole lot of stores in times square, tried new york pizza which was pretty great & visited the famous Serendipity! Tip: if going to serendipity make sure it's either low season or you just put your name down & come back (that's what we did). The wait time for us was 3 hours but we decided to go & visit local shops around there in the mean time. The time went by fast & we headed back to try the popular item on their menu which was Frozen Hot Chocolate (delicious)! After there we went to visit Grand Central Station which was breathtaking from the high high ceilings to the architecture of the building. It is a definitely must when visiting NY. We then made our way back to times square for shopping at a few spots including the biggest department store in the world Macy's on Herald Square, it's a little overwhelming if you ask me lol.

After an amazing day full of scenery, food, & lots of walking it was time to head home to Huntington for a tour of my fiancé's home town. Couldn't have been a more amazing day in the city I have grown to love!

| This is just a random train entrance not ours lol. We boarded at Penn Station. |
