California Day 1 | San Diego

Another trip for the books!
We've had this trip planned since March & let me say that when you plan a trip that ahead of time then the anticipation gets real lol. But it was all worth it because we had a great time!

First day we landed in LAX which is in Los Angeles & took a road trip down to San Diego. But not before stopping at In&Out which I missed so dearly lol & my husband loved it as well (first timer)! Once there we explored so much, from beach coves, aquariums, museums, their famous La Jolla Cove which has seals everywhere & the historic Old Town San Diego! San Diego is definitely a place I would return because of it's chill atmosphere and family friendly activities. I would love to bring our future children here for the zoo which we didn't get to visit.

Here are a few pictures from our day (with description):

Weekend Trip to Greenville, SC

It was such an eventful weekend to start with:
First my husband got 4 free tickets to a Mexico game & not only that but they were great seats! After that we had a little date by going our favorite sushi spot & then ended it with cupcakes. I was super happy with just that but little did I know my husband had other thoughts for the weekend.

Now with it being Memorial weekend I really wanted to go to the lake or beach but we were just going to hang out at home because Saturday morning we are off on trip we have been waiting for since April. So I didn't want to plan two trips the same week. & for me staying in is totally okay because I love being at home & just watch a movie or two with my husband. But Sunday morning before church my husband tells me "you should probably pack a bag because we won't be staying home tonight" & I was okayyyy whyyy!? Then he simply asked "want to go to Greenville?"
If you know me, you know I won't pass on an adventure. So right after church we were on our way.
All of Sunday we spent in downtown Greenville. Just going into the shops & walking around their amazing park. By far the most beautiful one I have ever seen for sure! & we also did some wine tasting which I must admit no wine for me can ever compete with Zillah, Washington. But still not bad lol. After all the walking we stopped by for some sushi which was great! We were pretty tired by then, I mean the whole weekend had been non stop from working Saturday to the Game to a late night in Atlanta & to only wake up go to church & end up in Greenville. Lol we were pretty exhausted but so worth it! We stayed at the Hampton Inn which was so nice, they even had a fire pit that we just hung out by for a few minutes.
The next day we just slept in & had breakfast that the hotel offered, which was pretty great!
Then we made the drive to Lake Jocassee.
Okay I have been to many lakes before but never have I seen one like this! It was seriously breathtaking & we rented a canoe so we really got to explore the hidden coves & paddle through some beautiful water. It was probably the best experience by far when kayaking or on a canoe!
Now we got to see fishes while there but some not so friendly, by that I mean my husband got attacked by one & left it's imprint. At first his reaction scared me because I was already in the water but after looking at it we both just laughed. It was so tiny but you can still see the little bit. We should have brought bread to give them lol. Next time for sure! But yea didn't get back in that part of the water lol.

We had such a great time & it felt like we were there longer. Such a great weekend!
I really encourage anyone even if it's for a weekend to just go & explore somewhere new. It's really nice to just get away even if its for a little.
