New York City | Part 2

The second day we were sure to take the train & wow what a difference it made lol. Smooth ride there, with no hassle at all.

I must say though once at penn station it smelled rather funny in there & not in a good way lol.
We started our Sunday by waking up super early to attend the 10 o'clock service at Hillsong NYC & let me tell you if you get there mmm maybe 30min before the door opens which is at 9:30am then you have high chances of sitting right up front!
Tip: Take the stairs instead of the elevator because there are only two elevators which everyone is trying to take & it may be hard especially if you are out of shape like me but was it worth it, YES!!
The service was incredible & to sum it up:
"The world cannot label you, only your Father can"
Genesis 35:18
Don't let what other people call you, define you, only your Father has naming rights & he named you His. His plans go beyond yours & what others say.
Amazing word by an amazing Pastor!

After service we headed toward The Rockefeller center but of course stopping here & there to see the amazing architecture & visit shops. It was a beautiful day out, it wasn't too cold & the sky was clear. When walking in the streets of NY I couldn't help but be amazed with the height of all the buildings, and it wasn't so much just the height but how many there were so close together. I have been to Atlanta plenty of times but New York is truly unique from any other city. First, everything is so close together which I love because getting from point A to point B isn't hard especially when there is so much to see along the way. Walking wasn't a problem for me & I actually love the fact that we got to walk because every turn we took there was something new to discover, literally! & second is that no matter how late it gets it always seems safe and not sketchy. I mean staying in the safe areas are a good idea but most of Manhattan is safe so there isn't much to worry about. Anyways once we got to the Rockefeller it was a pretty quick way up to the top, we went around 1pm & the lines were not long at all so that was great. If you do plan to go during sunset make sure to just get your tickets online because those are first to be sold out. We got to the top & wow what an amazing view! Seriously I felt like I was in a movie lol just being up there with that amazing scenery & in the arms of the one I love. Definitely one for the books.

After the Rockefeller it was just exploring from then on. We walked through central park, visited a whole lot of stores in times square, tried new york pizza which was pretty great & visited the famous Serendipity! Tip: if going to serendipity make sure it's either low season or you just put your name down & come back (that's what we did). The wait time for us was 3 hours but we decided to go & visit local shops around there in the mean time. The time went by fast & we headed back to try the popular item on their menu which was Frozen Hot Chocolate (delicious)! After there we went to visit Grand Central Station which was breathtaking from the high high ceilings to the architecture of the building. It is a definitely must when visiting NY. We then made our way back to times square for shopping at a few spots including the biggest department store in the world Macy's on Herald Square, it's a little overwhelming if you ask me lol.

After an amazing day full of scenery, food, & lots of walking it was time to head home to Huntington for a tour of my fiancé's home town. Couldn't have been a more amazing day in the city I have grown to love!

| This is just a random train entrance not ours lol. We boarded at Penn Station. |
