Jayleen's Birthday Trip

We always knew we would want to celebrate Jayleen's birthday by taking her somewhere instead of a party & this year we still did the party because the grandparents insisted but we were also able to take her somewhere for a little getaway. Next post will be her party but fyi I don't think we'll do another party again or at least a big one because man is it stressful! But it was nice for her to be surrounded by loved ones on her first birthday & truly that was the best part!

But from now on I think just taking her on a trip will not only be more fun but also so much more relaxing and stress free lol.

Anyway back to the little trip we took. We wanted to stay close because we wanted to come back to be home the day of her actual birthday so she could celebrate it with her grandparents so we decided to just take her to disney again & the beach. We had chilly days but we also had really nice ones so it was a good mix. The first day we just went to a cuban restaurant called Black Bean Deli which was amazing & to disney springs to walk around & do a little shopping. So pretty relaxed day. The second day we got up early & headed to a park we haven't taken Jayleen yet & that was epcot. They have the frozen ride there & one of Jayleen's favorite characters which is Dori. But George & I were definitely there for all the samples you can try from each part of the world lol! Everything was so good & Jayleen ended up loving the food more then anything as well lol. But all the rides were really nice & there was so many that were toddler friendly. During the day she also met Donald Duck & let me tell you this girl loves the characters! The whole time we were in line she was trying to get out of our arms to go over to him, obviously she doesn't understand that we have to wait in line lol. Same with Mickey & Minnie, it was hard to contain her lol. She definitely prefers the characters over the rides for sure! Not that she is scared of the rides but we get more of a reaction from the characters lol.

The next day we spent it in Orlando going to brunch, going to a park & going back to Disney Springs to spend the afternoon. Then we headed to Clearwater & spent our time at the beach, visiting a botanical garden & of course eating lol. We had such a great time & most definitely a relaxed one too! This is what I prefer over big birthday parties any-day lol!
