Miami & Key West | Last Summer Trip

This trip was definitely more then I ever expected.
From the beautiful water that reminded me of Riviera Maya & Dominican Republic to the food which was great everywhere we went! There was so much to do & see so I was so excited when we landed & our adventure started!

When my husband suggested we go to Miami & the Keys I was so excited & planning began.
After months of waiting the day was here & I don't think I slept much that night lol. The whole trip was amazing from exploring Miami to kayaking in the Keys. Another thing is we had amazing weather our whole stay there, I mean it drizzled a little but that would only last about 5min then perfect weather again. Although it was nice out, it did get really hot & humid in Key West which it was okay I can handle it but it was on another level lol. & we got sun burned (especially my husband lol). What I liked about Miami is everything is almost in one spot like shops, espanola way, & ocean drive. Now if you want to go to museums then thats in the city but the drive is not bad. Now the Keys literally took my breath away with all the beautiful scenery, the miles of bridges overlooking the ocean, & the cute town of Key West, it was just all a wonderful experience.

Now here are some tips that are very helpful that unfortunately we learned the hard way lol:

1. Food is pricy especially the closer you get to ocean drive so yes we fell for it one or two okay maybe 3 times lol just because it was convenient but for lunch we would stick to places we researched that were great but inexpensive. One place that we loved and was super affordable was a sushi bar that had floating boats that would carry around the sushi. It was called Katana & you'll see a few pictures ahead ;)

2. Parking! Now my aunt warned me about this because she just visited in July but I really think much of it until we got there. It's crazy pricy! Now luckily the last three days we found a parking deck & its located the next street over from Lincoln Rd right behind Starbucks & Forever21. & get this we were paying $15-$25 per parking other days, once we found this spot $1 an hour!!

3. If you're headed to Key West, leave early. We had heard about traffic there & it can be hectic so we did good by leaving early. So just in case there was traffic we definitely missed it lol.
