California Day 1 | San Diego

Another trip for the books!
We've had this trip planned since March & let me say that when you plan a trip that ahead of time then the anticipation gets real lol. But it was all worth it because we had a great time!

First day we landed in LAX which is in Los Angeles & took a road trip down to San Diego. But not before stopping at In&Out which I missed so dearly lol & my husband loved it as well (first timer)! Once there we explored so much, from beach coves, aquariums, museums, their famous La Jolla Cove which has seals everywhere & the historic Old Town San Diego! San Diego is definitely a place I would return because of it's chill atmosphere and family friendly activities. I would love to bring our future children here for the zoo which we didn't get to visit.

Here are a few pictures from our day (with description):

Weekend Trip to Greenville, SC

It was such an eventful weekend to start with:
First my husband got 4 free tickets to a Mexico game & not only that but they were great seats! After that we had a little date by going our favorite sushi spot & then ended it with cupcakes. I was super happy with just that but little did I know my husband had other thoughts for the weekend.

Now with it being Memorial weekend I really wanted to go to the lake or beach but we were just going to hang out at home because Saturday morning we are off on trip we have been waiting for since April. So I didn't want to plan two trips the same week. & for me staying in is totally okay because I love being at home & just watch a movie or two with my husband. But Sunday morning before church my husband tells me "you should probably pack a bag because we won't be staying home tonight" & I was okayyyy whyyy!? Then he simply asked "want to go to Greenville?"
If you know me, you know I won't pass on an adventure. So right after church we were on our way.
All of Sunday we spent in downtown Greenville. Just going into the shops & walking around their amazing park. By far the most beautiful one I have ever seen for sure! & we also did some wine tasting which I must admit no wine for me can ever compete with Zillah, Washington. But still not bad lol. After all the walking we stopped by for some sushi which was great! We were pretty tired by then, I mean the whole weekend had been non stop from working Saturday to the Game to a late night in Atlanta & to only wake up go to church & end up in Greenville. Lol we were pretty exhausted but so worth it! We stayed at the Hampton Inn which was so nice, they even had a fire pit that we just hung out by for a few minutes.
The next day we just slept in & had breakfast that the hotel offered, which was pretty great!
Then we made the drive to Lake Jocassee.
Okay I have been to many lakes before but never have I seen one like this! It was seriously breathtaking & we rented a canoe so we really got to explore the hidden coves & paddle through some beautiful water. It was probably the best experience by far when kayaking or on a canoe!
Now we got to see fishes while there but some not so friendly, by that I mean my husband got attacked by one & left it's imprint. At first his reaction scared me because I was already in the water but after looking at it we both just laughed. It was so tiny but you can still see the little bit. We should have brought bread to give them lol. Next time for sure! But yea didn't get back in that part of the water lol.

We had such a great time & it felt like we were there longer. Such a great weekend!
I really encourage anyone even if it's for a weekend to just go & explore somewhere new. It's really nice to just get away even if its for a little.

Cozy

Cozy Outfit Post

We've been having the strangest weather here in Georgia, like it doesn't decide weather it wants to be cold or warm out so you just have to check the weather daily. (literally lol)

Last Sunday we woke up to 52 degrees out, crazy right! So I got in my coziest outfit but still tried to layer just in case it got warmer throughout the day, which it did but just for a while.

Here is a quick get up that can be perfect for a spring day when it gets chilly in the afternoon.

Cardigan: Target (currently in clearance) | Jeans: DressUp | Top: Kenneth Cole | Boots: Marshells

Also I just recently bought a rack to hang a few coats & also have a space where I can hang clothing that I would possibly take on travel. I love it! It's so simple but yet so chic. & only $10 at Ikea!

Short & Simple Post Today.

Travel Size Beauty Products

Target Beauty Box

tip: & One I just got accustom to not long ago: To save in the flight area of your travel, carry on every time! This was pretty difficult for me because I use to love bringing my whole closet & not only that but bring full sized shampoo, conditioner, etc. But I am trying to accustom myself to traveling very minimal. Only the necessities, outfits that could be wore differently & travel size everything!
I have gotten pretty good because I can fit both my husband's clothing & mine into one carry on with no problem. Never thought that could be possible lol but I love it now! We carry less and we waste that money elsewhere on our trip!

Now I usually get empty containers & just fill them with my products but I have found this amazing subscription like box that changed everything lol. I never would be the one to splurge on expensive travel size items because well lets face it who would want to spend $10 on a item with only 3oz in them! Not me! But the Target box gives you just that without the crazy price!
It can very from $5 to $10 just depending the amount & the quality of products for that month.
The best thing is there is no commitment, if you like whats in the box that month then you purchase on the spot if you don't then well you don't purchase. It's as easy as that!

I am on my 2nd one already & just ordered my third! I skipped one month because I felt it wasn't worth it. But I am in love with these boxes because I have tried a few things out already & I can say I would actually buy the full size versions of them!

This was April's Box:

Things that came in it:

Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation: Now this was the only fail because the color was ivory & I am dark so that would not have looked cute lol.

Laneige Water Bank Soothing Mask: OMG! I loved this mask, just used it last night & my skin feels amazing & it's so cooling! I've done masks but never a gel one that comes in sheet! Amazing!

Pantene Hair Spray: Actually have the full size of this & I really like it. So i'm glad I have a travel one now for travel.

CoverGirl Lipstick: Great formulation, just the color is to bright for me. I would probably just give this one away.

Hawaiian Tropic Sunscreen: Okay now this we can never have enough of! My husband is very light in skin tone & he burns like no ones business! So when I saw this I laughed because we had just come back from Riviera Maya Mexico & unfortunately I had forgot to put some in a empty bottle because we didn't have a travel size one. Lets just say my poor hubby got burnt head to toe on the first day there! We ended up buying one on our second day. It could have came in handy earlier lol, but nonetheless we will use it soon again.

Marlowe Body Butter: Target just picks great lotions & body butters! I have two now from a previous box & I love them! They are so thick in consistency & thats what I love my lotions feeling like!

Simple Face Wipes: Can never have enough of these! I use them all the time & actually I wouldn't mind if they sent me some every month in the boxes lol.

CeraVe Healing Ointment: Now when I first saw this I was not that excited about it because well when would I need it! But I had this pimple that was not healing & I knew it was going to leave a scar so before bed one night I saw this & I just thought maybe this might help! Now I had no clue why I thought that, maybe it was because protects skin & heals cracked skin. I don't know what is was but I tried it & after two days the scar was gone! Score! Lol I found a new fav product!

& you see these items alone can be pricy to just try but with these amazing little boxes Target has, we get to try before even considering buying the full sizes! Plus they are great for travel!

Last but not least, with every box you get you also get a coupon for $3 off a beauty purchase of $15 or more!

Target has me sold with these & I cannot wait for my next box!

Outings & Get Togethers | Day in the Life Post

More Posts!
I wanted to include my family more into my posts so I will be posting more then usual & I decided to call it "Day in the Life", also I will be including outings in our home town, outfit posts (like I once did) & just about anything in between lol.
Hope you enjoy!

Baseball, Food & Family!

April 22, 2016

My husband is a huge Mets fan so when they are in town you better believe my husband is the first to know when, lol. But I love it to! I once wasn't a huge sports fan but with a husband like mine I got so into the games quickly haha. & he likes it because he can talk to me about it & have conversations about the game.

It was a Friday & the first game they were in town. We decided to make a day out of it & went to eat & do some shopping at Ikea & the Atlantic Station. I love small outings like these because we both work & sometimes we don't always get a chance to. So its nice!

First stop was lunch at BeetleCat Seafood.
They don't just have seafood though. We both got a burger & wedge fries with a appetizer of fresh oysters.  Let me just say, they were some of the freshest i've ever tasted! The burger was really good as well!

After lunch we went to the shops & then headed to the game. Which was a great one! & the amazing part of the day is that according to the weather we had a chance of 70% rain! We watched the whole game & it wasn't until we were headed back that it started pouring. God really blessed up with a great day that day & an incredible sunset!

April 30th & May 1st

When family get together it's always a time I cherish every bit because family means so much to me & I couldn't have been more blessed with the one I have!

We celebrated my little cousin (aka my mini me) Alynna as she did her communion. We couldn't make it to the service because of work but we were there to celebrate her at her get together! She looked beautiful & the night was filled with so much joy & laughter! My aunt also flew in to visit for the weekend & although it wasn't for long it was nice to talk and catch up! So excited to visit her & the family in Seattle soon! I love my family & I wouldn't trade them for the world!
